Local Missional Endeavors – CLEARWATER planned & supported efforts to minister through, in, and with organizations seeking to make disciples, or who provide an open door for CLEARWATER members to engage with people in hopes to make disciples.
National Mission Endeavors –CLEARWATER planned and supported efforts to advance the gospel in areas of the United States which house UPG’s and UUPG’s. These partnerships will be with disciple-making churches in each respective location.
International Mission Endeavors – CLEARWATER planned and supported efforts to advance the gospel in places outside the United States. These partnerships will be strategic in that we will seek to advance the gospel among people groups who have not yet heard or have little to know access of the gospel. (UPGs & UUPGs)
OUR HEART FOR MisSion LIFE
Mission – The advancing of the Gospel of Jesus resulting in the making of disciples and the planting of churches who make disciples
Missionary – A disciple-maker in a different culture then their own. A person who leaves their home in order to seek out intentional social engagements with people in order to 1) build real authentic relationship, and 2) to have gospel-oriented conversations with a person of another culture.
Missional Living –Living a life of purposely seeking out intentional social engagements in order to 1) build real & authentic relationship, and 2) to have gospel-oriented conversations with that person, as you go through your daily life. (Living life with the same mindset and purpose as a missionary who lives in a different culture.)
The Gospel – (God) The Good, Holy, Loving Creator (Man) who was confronted with human hostility and rebellion (Jesus) chose in His own freedom and faithfulness to be The Good, Holy, Loving, Redeemer, Restorer. (Worship/Continual Response) Made possible only through continual faith in King Jesus.
UPG’s - Unreached People Group (less than 2% evangelical among a particular people.)
UUPG’s - Unreached Unengaged People Group (Less than 2% evangelical among a particular people and NO current, intentional, gospel-centered work within a people.)
***Based on current research, there are roughly 12,000 people groups in the world. Of those 12,000 people groups, 6,000 are considered Unreached People Groups (UPG’s). Out of those 6,000 UPG’s, 3,000 of them are Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPG’s). Basically, that means that billions of people are unreached (UPG) with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and currently millions are unengaged (UUPG) by a consistent missional, disciple-making witness.
