  • Coordinated Charities / click here for more info

Coordinated Charities is a private 501-C(3) non-profit social and human care agency created by area churches to provide limited emergency assistance to individuals in  need. Area churches, the United Way of McMinn/Meigs County, Athens Utilities  Board’s Warm Neighbor Fund, the Athens/ McMinn Ministerial Association, various  civic organizations, and caring individuals have all coordinated their efforts in  providing financial support for this organization. By having a centralized location it  is the hope of all groups involved to provide assistance consistently and  professionally. The ultimate goal is to make the best use of community resources  and avoid duplication of services. Contributions given to the local United Way of  McMinn County from individuals supports a large portion of the funding of  Coordinated Charities’ functions, along with other organizations in our community  like the Senior Center and the Good Faith Clinic.
