Lead Pastor: Bo Dunkle

God is good! Bo has a few loves in his life...King Jesus...Jesus, Church...His wife...His girls...and college football!

God saved Bo in 1987 and has been a striving Jesus follower ever since. He and his wife, Michele, married in 2003 and God has blessed them with three beautiful daughters, Gabbi, Libbi, and Phoebi.

Prior to being called to Clearwater in 2020, as the Lead Pastor, Bo served in the public school system for 5 years as a teacher and coach. He then answered the call to serve as Student Pastor at Candies Creek Church in Cleveland, TN.  Bo served there for 5 years and then the Lord allowed him to explore the dream of leading a christian adventure camp, Camp Living Stones. While there, God clarified that his calling is to serve, love, and lead in the local church with the intention of advancing the gospel locally and globally to all people. Shortly after, he became the Student Pastor at Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga. God then moved Bo back home to McMinn County. He served as the Etowah-Campus Pastor/Mission Pastor at Eastanallee Church.

Bo knows that NOT all people at Clearwater Baptist Church, the surrounding area, and around the globe are currently experiencing life in Jesus. He also knows in order to change this reality, the church has to be centered on the biblical mandate to disciple the nations. He desires to lead Clearwater to be INFORMED by the gospel of King Jesus. to be INSTRUCTED in the ways of The Lord Jesus Christ. And to lead CLearwater to be INVESTED in advancing the gospel both locally and globally, all for the glory of God!

1 Thessalonians 2:8 says, "Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us.

Bo and his family long to serve, love, and invest in God's people here at Clearwater. As they walk in obedience, they are expecting God to do GREAT things!
